Nope. Not a book review.  But a band who decides to name themselves after a famed Kurt Vonnegut character is more than okay in my book.  Kilgore Trout will leave you with your hair in knots.  They are fucking heavy and screamy.  Based out of Virginia, these guys and lady are getting down; harder than you know.

According to their last.fm page, they have ex members of The Usual and The Pessimist Hangs the Optimist, I say according because I haven’t listened to the two other bands yet entirely due to me being a raging idiot because Kilgore Trout is so good.  This is some of the hardest screamo I have heard in a while.  Straight emo violence.  In the same area of music bands Storm the Bastille or Takaru, except not as sludgy as Storm the Bastille, and not as deep screams as Takaru.  They just did a split with False Flag, and they have a full length titled We Lost Our Appetite For Destruction.  Download this.  These are REAL good screams.
